BLUE CORN MAMA CAFE
Located in the beach town of Sayulita, Mexico, Galeria Tanana served as an outlet to present hungry shoppers and tourists delicious meals made with locally-sourced ingredients and an ancient variety of Blue Corn. The Blue Corn is grown with love and respect by the indigenous Huichol people who live in the rugged, Sierra Madre Occidental Mountains of Nayarit and Jalisco. All profits from the Cafe and Galeria Tanana, directly helped The Huichol Center.
The restaurant, now closed, has shifted its focus back to the homeland mountains to launch a culinary agritourism opportunity for intrepid foodies to live amongst the people, work the blessed blue corn by hand and learn the ancient ways of our ancestors. Plus eat really good food.
