GALERIA TANANA
Tanana means the Goddess of Life in Huichol. Located near the Ocean Mother's Sacred Site, Galeria Tanana is a fixture of the the beachfront town of Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico - just 45 minutes North of Puerto Vallarta. The gallery, is now operated by modern Huichol Yarn Painter and artist-in-residence, Cilau Valadez, son of Susana and world-renowned yarn painter, Mariano Valadez. A creative incubator, yarn artists-in-training are able to hone their skills and interact with customers. The gallery features museum-quality yarn paintings, beaded sculptures, delicate, hand-made jewelry, hand-embellished prints and note cards of Huichol symbols, shirts and authentic Copal incense.
